say cheese!

Last night was the retirement party that I was hired to photograph. Everything went very well. It was held at the Frazier Historical Arms Museum which was appropriate for the event. His retirement is from the US Air Force so there was an awards ceremony and some different presentations that were made. It was a small crowd, mostly family but many had traveled from out of town.

I took a step today. I’m not sure which direction it will lead me yet. But at least I took the first step.

I sent Russ’ sister an email…nothing big…just asked how the Bon Jovi concert was that she went to. I haven’t talked to her in months (since August) although we used to talk several times a week. Thinking back now, I’m sure I talked to her more than Russ did. Ever since not attending her wedding, (not my choice) I have felt uncomfortable about contacting her.

I miss talking to her.

I miss him.

Most of all I miss the way things used to be.

Learning to forgive and forget is so much harder than I ever thought it would be.
