I’m going to go back a little bit and explain how things started. Back in July Russ moved out of our apartment. At the time, I wasn’t sure what was going to happen with all of that. I didn’t know how long he’d be gone. I didn’t really know if we were still together or not. Most of the conversations between us were more like arguments. After a few months of being miserable and tired of waiting for, something to happen, I decided I couldn’t sit around any longer.
I had to find myself again and do things that made me happy. Most of all I had to find ways to occupy my time so I wouldn’t be sitting around thinking and wondering. It didn’t take very long at all before I got good at staying busy. I finished school in December and received my degree in Commercial Photography. At the beginning of the year, I started a new job working in the office of a staffing agency. In addition to going back to work full time, I decided to take two more evening classes to try and finish a second Associates degree.
Around the middle of February, Russ all the sudden moved back in. We never talked about it. In fact, a month prior to it, I asked him if he ever planned on moving back in and his response was “Well, I hadn’t really thought about it.” What the!? What had he been thinking about for the last 7 months? So as you can imagine it was a bit of a surprise when he started staying the night again. Since then it’s been hard to adjust to having him around again. I mean, how am I supposed to know he’s not going to just up and leave again? Things have been a little strained between us to say the least. And now, just this week Russ got his own apartment. Our lease isn’t up till the end of May but he said he can’t continue to stay in an apartment with me in our situation.
On a lighter note, a few weeks back I got a new puppy. A teacher my mom works with found this puppy and tried to find her owner’s with no luck. She couldn’t keep the new dog because her family already has three dogs of their own. I decided to take the pup because I knew that Russ would be taking Ally soon. (So far he hasn’t yet) The newest member of the household is a 6 month old puggle. For those of you as clueless as I was when I heard the term, a puggle is a pug and beagle mix. She’s definitely got more beagle in her than anything else. Including the stubbornness. But she loves to snuggle so that makes up for a lot. ☺
Introducing Ginger…
This was her first picture. I took a few more once she worked out her camera face.
How could I not have taken her home with me? More to come on this one for sure, she's a handful!

getting back in the swing of things
I have needed this outlet for quite some time now. Everything has been so crazy in the last couple of months I haven't had time to sit and get things updated.
*I'm at work now so this will be very short.
Hopefully, by tomorrow night I will be able to find a few spare minutes to get everything off my mind. My list is growing by the minute. Russ, work, school, new puppy, new apartment....
